Lucas | Ashburn Newborn Photographer

I’m a little behind on blogging this little man’s session but I can’t leave it out.  He was such a little sweetie even if he didn’t want to do any on his tummy.  He was happiest all wrapped up snug as a bug.

During our session consultation his momma and I discussed colors for the photos and settled on navy and cream to coordinate with their home interior.  They had mostly warm colors on the walls so I wanted to be sure the images would look good when they hung them up.

His family actually opted for a beautiful album in addition to their wall portrait.  I have to say, I love albums.  They’re quickly becoming my go to product to introduce to families.  Because we can fit 30 or more images in an album, they’re a great way to get a copy of every image from your gallery in a beautiful heirloom quality product.  If you follow me on Instagram you’ve seen me talk about these albums.

I was pretty sure we were done at this point but he had a little snack and dozed a bit more so we parked in their foyer for some of these basket shots.  I try to bring a prop like this with me to every session.  As with every session, everything coordinates so when we’re assembling collections of images for display it just all works!

His daddy is a bit of a football (read: soccer) nut so of course we had to incorporate his Italy jersey into photos.  I love working family fun into the images.  Quirks, passions, traditions and all!!
