Feature Friday: Waiting on Butterbean | Aldie Maternity Photographer

When I got a frantic email and voicemail from a momma looking to book a maternity sessions ASAP I never imagined I’d get to meet these two beautiful people!

I reached out right away and managed to catch her on the phone. We ended up talking for almost an hour!!! We talked about them (he’s a chef, she loves horses) and how they’re not “picture people” but recognized how important this time in her life was. We talked about location and they really wanted it at their soon to be home that was currently under construction and we talked about what to wear!

She said that she had two dresses and couldn’t decide on which. I said to bring the both! My portrait sessions are only limited by light. I book them so that we can relax and take our time and just enjoy the process. I even have a portable dressing room we can pop up in the middle of wherever to allow you to change!!

We spent our time down on the lane in front of their new property and then hopped in the car to trek back up the hill to their plot of land. 5 Acres that will eventually hold a sweet little house, a barn and horse paddock for her beloved horse!

I warned them ahead of time that I’m a little strange and that some of the things I ask them to do (like, “hug her from behind and sniff her ear”) would sound odd but they make for the most amazing interactions. Though I will say that these two needed little help. So snugly and adorable:)

Ready to book your maternity session? I’m open and running sessions now and would love the opportunity to capture your milestones! Just click on the request session above and shoot me a note!
