Feature Friday: Sweet little Owen | Ashburn Newborn Photographer

I’ve known Owen’s parents for what feels like forever. They were one of the first couples that we were first introduced to when we first moved here in 2006. We travel in extend circles and it had been a little while since we’d connected last so when Laura reached out to see about maternity pics and then newborn photos, I couldn’t have been more excited!!

Owen was a dream in the studio. Perfectly content and let me do most of what I’d had planned for him. He was the last little dude in before I shut things down for a renovation (and then kept it shut because of the global pandemic…oy vey). I’m so happy I had the chance to see him and his parents!

I miss having sweet squishy babies in the studio and I really miss connecting with their parents before, during and after the session. I never did formal newborn photos (I tried to do my own all those years ago when I was still learning) and really miss having them so I’m so honored when parents pick me to capture that time!

So, after what feels like a never ending covid induced dry spell, I’m happy to report that I can start thinking about re-opening for business in the next few weeks! First focusing on outdoors portraits and then considering newborns in July and August. When I do resume studio sessions there will be some additional rules in place to ensure safety of you and your littlest bundle. To include things like, face masks for everyone, hand washing every 30 min, limited people in the studio at a time and a thorough wipe down before and after sessions. All wraps, drops, hats and props were already being washed and sterilized and we will continue to do so.

I can’t wait to see your families back in the studio but want to ensure everyone’s safety with your most precious cargo!
