It’s time again for another installment of the 6 on the 6th. May was a month full of fun – and rain! Lots and lots of rain. We did manage a few sunny days in there and we made the most of them.

First up a beautiful, but windy, afternoon at the winery for mothers day. This beauty is the daughter of our friends and neighbors. I love it because it’s so “her”. She’s a very contemplative little gal who I tell her momma is a “30 year old trapped in a 7 year olds body”.
Next, in the first break of rain my little asked if we could go out and take pictures. I think she was as cooped up as I was and never one to shy away from a pretty dress and some camera time, she suggested we go for a walk to take some pics. We found a field at the back of our neighborhood where she gave me about 2.5 min of her time before moving on to the next thing.
Then, week after week of rain and week after week of reschedules, we finally managed to squeeze this doll in midweek down at the lake in our neighborhood. She was suspect from the start even though she knows me well. It took a lot of work for her momma and I get to those smiles but they were totally worth it!
Next up is a milestone session. This little gal turned 9 months old this month and again, after being rained out twice we finally managed to grab a few min just across the street from her home. I wish I’d done a pull back because it was a pretty awesome but unassuming spot. One of the reasons to go with a professional photographer is their ability to see the beauty in an unusual place. I’ve had some really off the wall locations including along the side of a road (not busy at all and we were well enough off to be safe).
The final two were from our trip to the Smithsonian’s Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum on a rainy (suprise!) afternoon with our cousins. We’ve been here a number of times as it’s only about 15 min from our house and a great place to wander around for a few hours when the weather is nasty and I never get tired of it. I’m an airplane buff so it doesn’t hurt that the whole hangar is full of flying machines!
So that’s this months 6 on the 6th:) I hope you enjoyed and click through to the rest of the folks in the circle!
