Lindsay These guys are another one of my repeat clients! I’ve known Coral for a while (we ran a race together yearrrrs ago!) and our photography relationship started when that little dude was in her belly! She modeled for me when pregnant and then I had the honor of doing little man’s new born photos. Every year since then we’ve met up for fall photos.
This year was extra special because we combined family photos with a few maternity ones tossed in there! I didn’t know she was pregnant until she stepped out of the car:) Best surprise ever!
For this session though we were dodging raindrops! It was misty when we started but held off long enough for us to get the session in. Weather in the fall can be challenge to say the least. Wet falls happen all the time and a full schedule of sessions can be plunged into chaos pretty quickly.
Lucky for us though it all worked out. This little dude was so excited. I’ve photographed him a few times already so we are best buddies to start with.
Being a child portrait photographer though I know that’s not always the case. Sometimes it takes time for your little one to warm up to this crazy lady with a big camera. That’s okay! We take things slowly and before you know it, they’re my bestie.
The best thing a parent can do in this situation is to just relax and let me work my magic. If mom and dad are tense about the session and the meeting then the little feel it too. If you’re happy and relaxed, they often follow suit.
